Company: Whisknladle, (wisk-en-lay-del), located in the heart of downtown La Jolla, prides itself on its back to the basics approach to food and dining. Currently known as Fresh[er], Whisknladle will debut in December 2007, showcasing its Gourmet Comfort Food that is tasty, honest, healthy and fresh, meant to satisfy the belly and satiate the soul. Arturo Kassel, owner and proprietor, and Ryan Johnston, executive chef and partner, the restaurant serves “tapas-style” dishes on plates made to share, so guests can enjoy numerous items off of the diverse menu. Whisknladle places a special emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients that are purchased from local organic farms and growers, and creates everything in-house, from baking bread, curing and aging meats, to churning ice cream and making pasta. |
