DIEGO, (January 25, 2007) – BERKMAN , San Diego’s multi award-winning, full-service public relations, marketing communications and branding firm, is pleased to expand its client portfolio with the addition of the San Diego Service Authority for Freeway Emergencies’ (SAFE) Mobile Call Box program, Hospitality Inc. and Royal India.

BERKMAN will facilitate communications and community outreach for the SAFE Mobile Call Box program, which will launch in San Diego in conjunction with the San Diego Association of Governments’ (SANDAG) 511 Advanced Traveler Information System (ATIS) program. Through the Mobile Call Box program, San Diego motorists will be able to receive roadside assistance on freeways and highways in a non-emergency situation by dialing 5-1-1 on their mobile phones. BERKMAN will work closely with strategic partner 760 Media Advertising & Marketing on the development of all advertising, collateral and marketing materials.
BERKMAN will bring a strategic approach in executing a proactive and focused media relations campaign for Hospitality Inc., the parent company of Picnic People, Festivities Catering and Special Events and TK&A Custom Catering. BERKMAN will represent each brand individually and demonstrate the companies’ ability to go beyond the traditional scope of catering and special events by providing a full-service, one-stop-shop experience. Led by charismatic and savvy business woman, Lisa Richards, the three divisions of Hospitality Inc. specialize in a range of services including corporate picnics, tailgate parties, weddings, office parties, social services, emergency food relief and a highly structured personnel training program.
The BERKMAN team will provide all opening and ongoing public relations for Royal India, Indian Restaurant and Lounge. Scheduled to open on February 1, 2007, Royal India will bring a new experience to downtown San Diego by offering a distinctive blend of traditional Indian cuisine, palace-like décor and elegant atmosphere. Royal India, owned by local restaurateurs Jag and Sam Kambo, will be open for lunch and dinner serving a buffet style lunch and a full-service dinner. The restaurant will also feature a full bar/ lounge area and a 40-seat outdoor patio.
